Mount Lofty

Warrandyte State Park

The Mount Lofty circuit offers some of the best views of Warrandyte State Park and the Yarra River. This gentle hike will guide us from the meeting place of the Birrarung (Yarra) River and Bushy Creek (a sacred gathering and ceremony place to Wurundjeri women) as we take a gentle walk along the river through gum-lined trails to Mt Lofty's peak, before floating back home.

When: 9am to 3.30pm, Saturday the 4th of November 2017

Where: Warrandyte State State Park (meeting place provided after registration)

The hike: 6km (~2 hour hike). Graded Easy*

The yoga: Vinyasa flow (beginners welcome)

Cost: $130 for a 6.5 hour event

Your $130 investment includes:

  • welcome chai + snacks on arrival

  • 2-2.5 hour guided hike (hiking time may vary)

  • 1 hour yoga class

  • 4 meditation + mindfulness classes

  • rest breaks (lunch not provided, BYO)

  • stunning views + good vibes + the Wild Tribe community

Guided by Dr Belinda Christie, Environmental Scientist + Yoga Teacher.

* Easy hiking grade:

Easy level walking on well-made trails. Uneven surfaces may be present (rocks, tree roots, etc).

Mostly gentle trails, some mellow hills.

Note: This is not a "walk in the park" :) As with all hikes in wilderness areas, the walking trails will of course be unpaved. As such, all hikes (including those categoried as 'easy') will have plentiful uneven ground, rough, slippery and undulating surfaces. This is the wild after all! If you have any concerns about the trail, or any injuries or illnesses which you'd like to discuss, please feel free to contact us (there is also a place to provide this info during online registration).
